K.H. Webb Studio

Sikorski Residence Renovation Two "vintage" 1970's apartments, in an over/under configuration, were linked in this project to create an urban loft atmosphere. Renovated in its entirety, the lower level was designed around a functional entry space with subtly curved cherry walls and a sculptural helical stair with brushed steel balusters. Frosted glass doors were used to offset the entry from the bedrooms and open, spacious Master Suite. Within the suite, a curved granite fireplace was designed to echo the undulations of the entry. Upstairs, the penthouse level was opened-up from wall to wall, to house the Living, Dining, Office and Kitchen areas. A material palate of Anigre, Cherry and Slate was incorporated throughout the home to unify, but not clutter, the open space.
