Beaver Dam Road Residence, Vail, Colorado The commanding 16-foot fireplace in the living room of this Vail home is the heart of the house both because it creates a warm inviting gathering place for family and friends and because it is a reflection of the intense collaboration and attention to detail that went into this project. The KH Webb Architects team worked with architect and family member James Dayton and an interior designer from New York to create this sophisticated contemporary mountain home. Every detail of this project was carefully discussed, debated and considered by this unique team of designers. The glass stairway in the entry way is perhaps the best representation of this collaboration and evidence that several heads are, indeed, better than one as every member of the team had a part in creating this architectural challenge. While many minds contributed to this project, the end-result is cohesive and seamless; a chic modern home that blends effortlessly into its mountain landscape.
